Wolves Season Review: We will be back stronger!

Wolves is ready to jump on you!

The Wolves season campaign had relatively went into a transition period. From a one man dominated team (Westbrook era), the Wolves decided to switch to a more balance approached. Thanks to a mid-season trade that sent long time ace player Russell Westbrook to Boston for the in and out duo of Chris Paul and Al Jefferson.

Minnesota did get the 4th spot eventually due to the divisional seeding but didn't have the familiar home court advantage during the 1st Round of the Post season against the Memphis Grizzlies, who has a superior record over them. Luckily for them, they managed to out-duel the favored Grizzlies in six games. Coming from a 0-2 deficit and winning the last 4, the Wolves rode that confidence and faced the #1 seed and eventual Champ Houston Rockets. It didn't take long though as they got swept emphatically.

"Rockets just showed how far the difference between them and us. Man! that was a team built to destroy every common team in the league. We will be back stronger though, i can promise that." said by GM rh0xxy following their Game 4 loss.

And so the season is over. Let's see what's in store next for the Minnesota Timberwolves but before that let's take a quick look how the team has fared this season.

You have a good team, I really like CP&Al over WB, I think you have a great chance of repeating as Northwest Division Champion. (I hope you don't, I want to be that )

Always interested to see what moves you make throughout a season and you have 2 stars in CP3 and Al. Losing Russell is always a hard thing to do, but you have a good team.

With two aging stars, it will be fun to see how you mold this roster around them. Time to build off that first round series win over the Grizz.

Being very honest, in your place, I'd rather give up and admit that your team peaked and rebuild. Trade Paul and Jefferson (not here) to teams that can give you good picks for them, and move forward. But I know you like to compete as hard as possible, so there's not a chance a rebuild will happen haha

Trading Westbrook in his prime was a mistake. Especially for two older players. Wolves will win the division again but I don't see them going far to be honest.
