In public you should do it like tim in his draft articles. "Lakers had three players on their list, player A, a center blabla". That you gave away the information that Vonleh and Embiid are the top 2 is unfair for GMs active in the scouting process. The advantage they had compared to not participating GMs is gone.
I don't care really, but as a GM I would ask myself why to participate in the scouting process if it is made public anyway. Seems I definitely need to change scouting again. Maybe something like we had before and zero articles. Not sure what works well, but it seems non of the systems I introduced so far worked. Back to the drawing table for me.

Nah man, it's an easy fix brother. Just delete this article, lol. The scouting system works fine. I guess if anything it should just be better defined what is allowed in public articles written by GM's.Dennis wrote:In public you should do it like tim in his draft articles. No no, will never delete a well written article because of that. Overall the goal of the scouting process is to create activity, and "activity just happened" by you writing this article. But you all are right to some degree. It isn't cool thst posting articles in public concerning prospects isn't allowed.

I agree with the notion of "no harm, no foul". As Dennis mentioned though in his original comment, he knows that it isn't worth punishment, and therefore I don't think it's worth the discussion. Good read Lakeshow.Mattybriand wrote:Don't dock anything, nothing specific was mentioned no harm, articles like this are what us non playoff teams have to do to stay busy.

Anyway, given the actual situation of the scouting and the activity in the scouting forums, next season it will be a plain "send in scouts" based scouting. No artifles nothing. Makes it easier for me and it wouldn't change much compared to this season.
