known about this trade for a little bit, and really like it all the way around. Everyone gets what they need and there's some good stuff going to every team.

We were part of the Jessup talks, too. Good player and his 3 point shooting is going to fit really nicely in the schemes that rhox cooks up

I haven't kept track of his career, but Salaun going that cheap surprises me. Wasn't he supposed to be one of the best players in his class once he developed?
White is underrated though. Executes the offense, plays great defense, and doesn't eat shots from stars.

As the team that drafted him and then dumped him for very little, he isn't really developing unfortunatelyJestor wrote: ↑Sat Apr 11, 2026 6:04 pm I haven't kept track of his career, but Salaun going that cheap surprises me. Yes, it seems so. I had my eye on him as I think he had the potential to be a very good player.KW wrote: ↑Sat Apr 11, 2026 6:06 pmAs the team that drafted him and then dumped him for very little, he isn't really developing unfortunatelyJestor wrote: ↑Sat Apr 11, 2026 6:04 pm I haven't kept track of his career, but Salaun going that cheap surprises me. Re: Trade Chatter
That's a wonderful deal to the Celtics. Not only they get an upgrade with Gates, but they also cut 6M off their books for next season. Gates should be much easier to trade later in the season than Stewart and Porter.
Also a great deal for Memphis. Allows them to be extremely competitive this year and reset next summer once they have their first back.
Don't clearly understand the logic here for the Nuggets.. I thought they were up for a rebuild and adding so much salary for next season is not ideal. But it's not a deal that will put them in terrible situation either and they just got a lot worse without Frank.

Great trade all around IMO. Will be the most beneficial for Memphis as they get an all star PG to keep them competitive this year but everyone seemed to get what they wanted there.

Re: Trade Chatter
Looks like a balanced trade to me.
As goos as Franky is, I doubt a 32 year old with a salary of 25Mil has a big market.
Every contender would love to have him in his last 1-2 good seasons he will still have. But most of them woukd have to send someone of their core out to make salaries work.
Perfect position for Andrei to swoop in and grab his services. Gates and Knight eill be missed though.
Stewart is actually a very underrated defensive big. If he can play a season like the last one with srarter minutes, he should be way easier to flip.
Also curious to see if my scouts were right on Durisic, looked like a unique player as rebounder/playmaker in my scouting.
Boston will test Gates out and see if it is a good fit and will likely try to get some younger asset for gim later.

I dont think denver got positive value in this trade.
Great for boston gates could be flipped for a 1st
wait and see for memphis i thought they had a decent amount of cap space. Could this trade have been made after FA?

Re: Trade Chatter
I don’t think Memphis has much cap space even after Culver, maybe like 6 mil. Might as well absorb Frank N’s contract now I suppose.

It was only a little over 5 million in cap. Basically an MLE-level
