Around the League - Week 2

Post by rh0xxy »

For the 2nd week of the young CSL Season:

1. Detroit's first win, when will it come?

2. Who among the Heat, Sixers, and Mavs home win streak lasts longer?

3. Morant and JJJ has been traded? What's your take on this?

4. Go big Cavs' starting 5 has produced 4 consecutive wins now, what's your take?

5. Smailagic fate, trade or not?

If you have something you want to talk about, make some noise!

On a random fluke win

2. Who among the Heat, Sixers, and Mavs home win streak lasts longer?
Heat

3. Morant and JJJ has been traded? What's your take on this?
I hate it. Big, big win for the opposing GM in terms of value. But the rebuild is officially on in Utah.

4. Go big Cavs' starting 5 has produced 4 consecutive wins now, what's your take?
Haven’t looked to see who they’ve played, but it’s working so far.

5. Smailagic fate, trade or not?
I’d keep him. Only 23, and because the Suns are so terrible, his trade value is suppressed.

If you have something you want to talk about, make some noise!

They will beat me Monday knowing my luck

2. Who among the Heat, Sixers, and Mavs home win streak lasts longer?

Sixers

3. Morant and JJJ has been traded? What's your take on this?

Why trade them after starting 4-2? Plus they just traded for Morant, so I don't understand at all.

4. Go big Cavs' starting 5 has produced 4 consecutive wins now, what's your take?

They are still a top 6 team in the East

5. Smailagic fate, trade or not?

Keep since he's only 23

1) tough schedule for Detroit. I don't think they're favored in any game till they face Indy in about 10 games... any team can win a game at any time though, they won't start 0-20

2) Dallas. best team in the league, and no GM doesn't hurt them

3) Don't love the return personally. one very nice prospect though

4) that's a crazy lineup. like small-ball much more with Porter at the C with versatility at the other spots, Onu is a sick rebounder and the big I'd actually start over the others even if he can't score. It's working though

5) Keep Snail Magic for now. he's 23, and Phoenix badly needs efficient shot creators as their young guys develop and brick things up in the short term

1) Probably just a random win against a good team since their upcoming schedule looks pretty hard. I know they're not a finished product, but I'm surprised they're 0-9.
3) It makes sense for them to get younger and acquire assets. Let's see what they get in return.
4) Too small of a sample size to draw conclusions, but it's working out for them right now.
5) As others have said, it makes sense to keep him at least for this year since the Suns don't own their pick. Unless someone really overpays for him. He's young and locked up for a while, so there's no need to trade him right now. Might be a good candidate to move in the off-season though, once the Suns get their picks back.

It came (no pun intended)

2. Who among the Heat, Sixers, and Mavs home win streak lasts longer?

I never bet against Miami on regular season. They are deep and made for it.

3. Morant and JJJ has been traded? What's your take on this?

Would have been nice to see Utah compete with Morant as more of a shooter (preference work) but Phil did not want to. That's understandable since they have good young talent and all their picks finally.

4. Go big Cavs' starting 5 has produced 4 consecutive wins now, what's your take?

Minny just won a ring that way. Why not?

5. Smailagic fate, trade or not?

Too young to trade, good fit with Chet and the rest of their youth, probably don't get enough to compensation to let him go.....
