Who's hot, who's not? (Week 6)

Post by rh0xxy »

HOT
1. Houston - There's no team as hot as the Rockets right now, who has won 9 consecutive and 13 of its last 14 games. This positionless approach is earning the respect of everyone and it won't be a surprise to see others follow suit.

2. Denver - The Nuggets has been on a tear lately with 4 wins in a row and the margins were not even close. They have won 8 of the last 10 games also and is looking to continue its streak as it takes an acid test against the Grizz next.

3. Philly - the Sixers are back after missing the list for several weeks, thanks to a 3-game winning streak which highlighted by wins against the Heat and the Cavs.

4. Brooklyn - just like the Sixers, ths Nets are winners of its last 3 games though expectedly against inferior foes. They continue to lead the division but the next in line are not far behind.

5. Dallas - the Mavs have recovered after losing 3 in a row. They are now starting a new winning run and is now at 3 and counting.

NOT
1. Phoenix - the Suns are still on the sunset with 7 losses in a row and 8 of the last 10 games. With its pick not in its hand, they have to turn things around as quick as possible.

2. Orlando - there's no magic in Orlando , atleast in the last 10 games where they fell 8 of those. They are on a 6-game losing skid and the Organization seems disoriented right now. A shake up is imminent and it could be just a matter of time.

3. Charlotte - the promising season of the Hornets have diminished with 5 straight losses and 8 of the last 10. Jovic is doing MVP things but he obviously can't carry his team alone.

4. Detroit - another promising team in the Pistons are slowly falling behind the pack. They were losing by big margins but the good thing is their defense is still consistent in those losses. They just have to find their offense.

5. New York - the Knicks are on a mini slump with a 3-game losing skid. They are expected to turn things around but they need to act as soon as possible with the East being a blood bath at the moment.

We have played well but the games have been at home. I'll be curious how we play on a difficult road swing.

The rockets are definitely winning the games they are supposed to win but they have arguably had the easiest schedule in the league. Only 2 of their last 14 have been against teams currently above .500

The Suns pick is top 5 protected. It's possible it lands just outside the top 5, but they'd have to be very unlucky
