Season Predictions
East:
1) Boston (beat CHI, beat CLE, beat PHI)
2) Philly (beat NY, beat MIL)
3) Milwaukee (beat MIA)
4) Brooklyn
5) Miami
6) Cleveland (beat BRK)
--
7) New York (beat IND)
8) Indiana
9) Chicago (beat ORL, beat IND)
10) Orlando
--
11) Detroit
12) Washington
13) Atlanta
14) Toronto
15) Charlotte
I think the top 4 are a clear cut above the rest talent wise. 5 feels generous for Miami without Simmons, but Silo is an expert coach. Cleveland moves up the list if they can sort out the backcourt which doesn't fit with Porter at all. Indy has top 6 talent, they just need to be utilized.
West:
1) Golden State (beat SAS, beat HOU)
2) Minnesota (beat OKC, beat DAL, beat GS, beat BOS - Timberwolves become CSL Champs)
3) Dallas (beat MEM)
4) Houston (beat SAS)
5) Sacramento
6) Memphis
--
7) Utah
8) OKC (beat UTA)
9) San Antonio (beat POR, beat UTA)
10) Portland
--
11) Denver
12) Lakers
13) Suns
14) Pelicans
15) Clippers
The West legitimately has 11 teams I want to give playoff spots to but for obvious reasons they couldn't all be there. Minnesota rockets up to #2 with Simmons in the fold, and Dallas moves up with a full season of Zion. The Kings fall but stay in the playoffs largely due to bt's coaching, this season may be rocky at times with lack of experience however. It was tough to omit any of Utah/OKC/SAS from the top 6, as they're all deserving.

Re: Season Predictions
Looks like we've got some high expectations this season. Last time we made it to the finals we pooped the bed the year after. Hopefully we have a different outcome this year! I gotta admit though... those T'Wolves look nasty

Re: Season Predictions
East:
1) Heat
2) Sixers
3) Celts
4) Bucks
A strong case could be made for any of these teams to be the top seed. They’re all very strong teams with elite GMs.
5) Knicks
6) Nets
7) Bulls
8) Hawks
9) Cavs
10) Wiz
This region of teams is very volatile in my opinion. They all have strengths and reasons to be optimistic, while having some flaws that could lead to disappointments.
11) Magic
12) Pistons
13) Hornets
14) Raps
15) Pacers
These teams are a bit of a mixed bag. Will Kevin be active? How will the talented young players do? Will the Pistons find a new Snailmagic?
I’ll omit the West due to conflict of interest, but I can say with pretty high certainty that it’s going to be a bloodbath.

Re: Season Predictions
Good stuff, I think we will be in the playoff race again this season. Despite losing Bam, we did trade for Porter to replace him, and I think with the addition of Snail Magic and others, we should be pretty good this season.
Porter/Nelson/Shead
Vincent/Podz/DeVico
Dunn/Jacquez/Butler
Mobley/Stephens/Soriano

Re: Season Predictions
I think just the fact I'm finally able to be more involved is going to do wonders in Cleveland. I can finally dig into the data a lot more and hopefully get back to the Cavaliers teams of old defying expectations.

Re: Season Predictions
The east will be the same 6 teams with CHI/ATL/CLE fighting for 2 playoff spots.
The west is more interesting. OKC/MIN/SAC/GSW are locks. MEM/HOU/UTAH will be just good enough. POR will surprise so that's already 8. SAS/DAL will struggle but they should make the play-in. If they dont its DEN.

Re: Season Predictions
I just dont have too much time left, so I dont think we will be top of pops in the east without much "coaching". Getting to the postseason is the goal again.

Re: Season Predictions
I hope we can improve a little more again and that would bring us into the battle for 7/8 maybe.
Let's see.
I'm also a believer that the reigning champ is favorite until they are dethroned. I think Boston, Milwaukee and Miami have the best chances again to beat them. But it will be tough. the 76ers are a well rounded team and Miami is not yet proven without Simmons.
In the West it will be really interesting to see if GS can follow up with a strong season and not crap the bed like after their last top season
And even more how Minny is playing. Really like what Alex is trying to do with the team for many seasons and hope it works out for them.

Re: Season Predictions
The East is a roller coaster of the top seven teams going up and down in streaks. I think any order is possible.

I think the top 6 in the East will stay, the rest is a coin toss.
Only Detroit should not have the talent right now to make it into playoff range but they can dream of Wemby which is nice too.
