The 2030 Free Agent Class - Unrestricted

Post by Flaming Homer »

With a little time over the weekend I thought it may be a good idea to take a look into the upcoming FA class.

And I liked what I saw there, very good FA will hit the market this year, restricted and unrestricted. Add a bunch of player options and the game may decide to even improve the class.

You can find the top unrestricted FA (just in my opinion) here:
https://www.keep-at-it.de/images/csl/30/urfa-2030.html

I also did a quick calculation what the cap situation could look like.
That of course can change quite a bit depending on GM's decisions on options or trades.
For the calculation I set PO as guaranteed contract and TO declined. I renounced player rights for teams/payers where I though tit would make sense and kept them for other. Houston for example could create cap space but it does not make any sense to renounce Monk's and Mika's cap hold for that.

Cap prediction:

Atlanta: 0
Boston: 0
Brooklyn: 0
Charlotte: 16 Mil
Chicago: 0
Cleveland: 0
Dallas: 38 Mil
Denver: 37 Mil
Detroit: 0
Golden State: 0
Houston: 0
Indiana: 0
Los Angeles C: 0
Los Angeles L: 10 Mil
Memphis: 24 Mil
Miami: 0
Milwaukee: 0
Minnesota: 0
New Orleans: 0
New York: 0
Oklahoma City: 0
Orlando: 10 Mil
Philadelphia: 0
Phoenix: 6 Mil
Portland: 4 Mil
Sacramento: 0
San Antonio: 0
Toronto: 0
Utah: 0
Washington: 19 Mil

And here also the list of players with TO or PO.

Team options:

Draymond Green
Dillon Brooks
Henry Ellenson
Jarred Vanderbilt
Myles Turner
Khris Middleton
Zhou Qi

Player options:

DeAndre Ayton
Rashad Vaughn
Cory Joseph
Bam Adebayo
Michael Young
Jonathan Isaac
PJ Washington
Laurynas Birutis
Wendell Carter
Josh Davis
Frank Nkitilinia
Dzanan Musa
Kevin Knox
Collin Sexton
John Collins
Jabari Parker
Chris Boucher
Tyler Ulis
Zhaire Smith
Rayshaun Hammonds

A really talented class with only a couple teams able to offer max money. Memphis can take a big step forward this offseason.

Looks like a solid class. We have our key priorities this season but may be looking to free up as much cap as possible to land somebody - particularly a strong outside shooter

Yeah, he is worth every single dollar!

This class makes me wish that my cap plan would work out a year earlier.

Some good players. Plan on re-signing my guys 100% of their asking price.

Hopefully Sexton opts out so we can have a full max slot available.

We either lock up Wagner for long or S&T him somewhere and start the rebuild (trading everyone else). We're probably due to one more run after this year so probably Wagner will be back for us with a strong offer from day 1.

wow this is a super talented FA class. Denver better find itself a GM soon lol.

Mitchell, Fox, Monk, Dozier, and Ingram would all be such good pairings with Zion in DAL. Dallas is gonna have a fun FA session throwing max offers at every star guard.

Some super talent in this class.

Utah, Boston, Philly, Houston, Golden State, Milwaukee, New York are all right in the window so I can't see any of those teams letting those players leave if finances allow it. Have no idea what their finances are like though.

We will have to be busy this offseason. Obviously we want to bring Dozier back. Ding is probably the bigger question mark right now depending on his demands given his age.
