2015 NCAA Finals. Who ya got?

Post by NanashiWake »

I'm going with Wisconsin. Dekker drops 30 and takes it.

I hope Kaminsky gets it but I think Coach K will be the difference, Okafor will put Kaminsky in foul trouble and will win the game

I had Wisconsin beating Kentucky and I have Wisconsin beating Duke. Winslow will not be able to handle Dekker. Okafor will not follow Kaminsky to the outside.

Can't believe I'm saying this but I'm going with Duke, love Okafor Winslow but also love Dekker Kaminsky as well.

I just wanna see a great game and glad Kentucky didn't make it.

Okafor nor Kaminsky can guard each other btw, Jahlil is going for every single pump fake while on the other side his post moves and strength is too much for ol Frank.

Great Finals matchup though, instant classic

Agreed, shaping up to be a great finish. That being said, Duke is not in this rebounding game. I've seen so many loose balls going to Wisconsin. This game shouldn't be tied if they just boxed out. That being said, Dekker hasn't gotten it going yet, but I think he will in the 2nd half.

Man Grayson Allen is stepping up but they can't leave Hayes open like that either...

Great game, loving it :)

It's been 2 full halfs of close basketball. Tyus and Grayson carrying Duke to the last few minutes. Crazy lol

Wtf? Was everyone seeing the same replay? That was clearly off Winslow. lol Nonetheless all the momentum with Duke.

Okafor is a man but boy did he get exposed, he can't guard tall jumpshooting bigs for nothing nor can he guard a slightly taller or longer big with good skills in the post.

Kaminsky and Dekker (moreso Dekker) played way nervous and Winslow's stock increased even more (as if that were possible) while Jones may have an outside chance at making the League, maybe...

That Wisconsin boy Hayes, he can ball.. Can become a good SG/SF in the molds of Jimmy Butler (not a 20ppg guy like Jimmy, but a good 12 ppg guy on good efficiency and great D).. Good set up shooter, can D, athletic, can post up players, strong, unselfish..

Yeah the Badgers got jobbed on that call, typed it when you wrote your msg as well but board glitched and didn't post it.

It reminded me when Lyles from Kentucky elbowed the guy on Wisconsin, refs looked at replay and said play ball lol, clearly went off Winslow.

Duke deserved the win. Wisconsin had way more experienced players and they failed to secure a 9 point lead, it was all but game.. Kaminsky is great but he kept trying to do the wrong thing as his driving was working to perfection and he was getting lots of points but suddenly he started trying to post up everyone and stopped getting touches..
Also Wisconsin used way to much pump fakes.. At the beginning it was working but from mid to late game they were just passing open jumpers as they pump faked every shot and Duke ate none of those.. So they repeatedly drived, had their drives stopped and passed out to the perimeter again, stagnating their offense..

All in all a great game, Duke wanted it more, those Freshmens wanted it so badly.. Okafor shined most when needed, all their role players stepped up, Winslow had a great all-around game.. And credits for Coach K for sticking to what worked. Not many coaches would have the balls to do it in a championship game.

That was a very good title game. Like was said before, Okafor got EXPOSED by Kaminsky. The more I've watched Okafor this year, the less I've thought about him. His conditioning is pretty poor for a kid that's supposedly going to be the #1 pick (which he won't), he made a lot of dumb fouls last night and missed a bunch of bunnies against a guy who isn't known for being a good defender in Kaminsky. When he grabbed that offensive rebound late in the game for the putback, that was the first time in the entire tournament I've ever seen Okafor pursue a rebound rather than just hope it landed in his area.

While Okafor redeemed himself with two late, clutch buckets, Sam Dekker was straight up AWFUL all game long! Never once seemed comfortable whether it was shooting or dribbling. Just an absolute mess. He scored all his points on putbacks or drop downs for layups. Not a good showing for him.

Tyus Jones...you have the green light to do the Sam Cassell "Big Ball Dance"! Some of the shots he drained down the stretch were just cold blooded!

Grayson Allen had himself a coming out party and if he entered the draft now I bet some GM would take him with a late first just off this game lol. It's going to be fun (and frustrating because I'm not a Duke fan) to watch Allen run the show full time at Duke next season. He's a crazy good athlete with a good feel for the game.

I absolutely love Justise Winslow and his stock has shot up as high as possible with him closing in on #3 on my Big Board. His offensive game was sketchy last night as he was just dropping his shoulder and driving into defenders at will, getting bailed out with a couple calls and non-calls, but man is his defense awesome! Kid had 3 blocks last night and could be a rare guard that averages 1 block per game in the NBA for a single season.

Everyone wanted Kentucky/Duke when the Final Four was set (at least I did) but we didn't need Kentucky to get a very good game.

Great review!
I must say I watched no college basketball till the tournament, cause here in Brazil they only start showcasing games during March Madness..
And I have to agree with you with everything!

Yeah I agree that that championship game confirmed that Jahlil shouldn't go 1st overall. I do think he has enough potential to get past those issues you highlighted.
