Division Title?

Post by Dennis »

Will they add another banner for winning the Division?
Boston, Massachusetts - Is it really possible this season? Could the Celtics win the Division? Until last month it looked like a really close race between the Toronto Raptors and Boston Celtics, but since Kyle Lowry left canada to join the contenting Thunder the Raptors couldnt keep the pace with the guys in green. Its suprising as most GMs didnt thought the Celtics could be in the race for a playoff spot. For example not long ago daprable didnt even mention Boston in his playoff thread, same for jake who even called the Celtics roster "pretty barren".

But its not only Rondo, Dragic and Sanders - they are Bostons leaders but guys like Faverani, Sullinger, Delfino, Pierce, Knight and Anthony are having great seasons too. Paul Pierce who joined the Celtics not long ago is actually averaging 15 points per game on 47% shooting. But not only that Pierce ended his slump by joining the Celtics late in december, also the franchise is on a run since the legend joined the team. Of the last 26 games Boston lost only 5 and didnt lose a single game at home since mid december.

DennisJ,
Expect Paul [Pierce] to be Bostons first CSL hall of famer.. Its no question that his jersey will retire as soon as he decided to end his career. We are proud he came back for a last run and it seems we are on a good way. We are not only getting the wins against bottom teams, we are also able to beat top teams. I was afraid losing Goran [Dragic] could hurt us badly, but the team shows its great chemistry and really stepped up lately.

A '34' will be added soon
Paul Pierce,
I decided to come back to win it all. Our team is great and we are able to compete. Goran will be back for the playoffs and given we are able to win the Division we will have home court advantage. Everything is possible, man, really everything. Call me a dreamer, but I wont quit until I finished my mission. I dont fear LeBron or KD. They are stars, but we are a team and we want to win it all.

Dennis is doing a really good job and a GM of the year candidate in my opinion. He inherited a roster that went 25-57 IRL and they are now 32-20. This dude is really good and the team is going to the playoffs for sure - don't know about the division title as BI's Raptors are very good with Rubio so its going to be a good battle for the division crown

Well, not sure if it was a pillage. Even not sure if I would do the trade again. We have up a Top 6 pick, took on bad contracts and got in return Larry Sanders. No idea how good this years draft is as scouting is dead, but it could happen to be a very good Deal for MKE.
But thats only my opinion.

It'll be a close race for the 4th spot in the East but I'm going to give the win to Boston this year. Gragic and Rondo together, has been sick. I'd love for that to happen in the NBA so we could watch the two play together.

Yeah I think its going to be tough, esp with the injury, but you guys have been playing really good and think you will edge out the Raps. I'm just hoping I can get to the 3rd seed in the East so that I have home court in the first round as well.

Should be a fun race, I think we'll pull it out though. Time will tell.

In preseason, I will think blackice will win the division easily. Looking Boston's roster I don't understand the great record of the Celtics.

Congrats Dennis, you're proving your level managing/playing in DDS.
