"Magic" Gianni-son!
The sample size was very short but in his first six games before the season went awry, playing alongside a starting lineup of Terrence Ross, Harrison Barnes, Aaron Gordon, and Greg Oden, Magic PG Giannis Antetokounmpo put up 12.8pts, 4.1rebs, 5.1asts, 1.8to's, .5stls, and 1blk per game thus earning him another moniker.

Giannis Antetokounmpo, affectionately known as "The Greek Freak" and "Alphabet" due to some fans, peers, and announcers inability to pronounce his last name (Ahn-te-to-Koonm-po) is now starting to garner another nickname around the Orlando Magic organization... "Magic" Gianni-son, which is clearly a play on 6'9" Hall of Fame Point Guard "Magic" Johnson as fans, the staff, the Front Office, Antetokounmpo himself, and even Head Coach Jeff Van Gundy are becoming enamored with the nickname themselves.
Well first off I'd like to say in no shape, form or fashion is he a "Magic" Johnson cause that's just downright disrespectful to "Magic" Johnson but clearly the fact that he's 6'10" playing the Point Guard spot has alot to do with this new craze here in the city and let's face... we've been abysmal so it's good to have someone or something to clamor about here in town and in all honesty Giannis or "Gianni-son" is deservedly earning the nickname... it's kinda grown on me cause he's a very lovable guy, I mean all the kid does is smile, even when we lose you see a smile on the guy's face so that's a great thing that he smiles and stays positive after these losses because he works hard in the gym after each loss and asks me for advice and it's refreshing to see that around here... Well he's played fairly well at the Point Guard spot and really gets after it defensively on that end and makes it a bit more difficult for the other teams to run their sets quite as fluently as they'd like so hopefully we'll continue that trend and work a bit harder at it in the offseason and training camp and what have you after the season ends along with the Playoffs...
I like the nickname... I feel more like "Penny" Hardaway than "Magic" but I like it alot... I feel like I'm improving although we aren't the same lineup as eh... as we usually go out with but it is important for me to acclimate myself to uh... to all of the guys out here on the court... He tells me to go out there and play my game and get better each and every night and after we get used to playing more with each other I know we can do that... Alright thank you..."
We knew before acquiring him what he may be capable of doing and after acquiring him we now have a much better understanding of how we'll be able to utilize him effectively or even more effectively I should say... His height and length are really extremely incredible assets at the Point Guard position as it gives us a distinct advantage from a length and defensive standpoint and offensively I expect to become a better ball club on that end once the guys get acclimated to one another as Giannis said... The season...? Well ah, we started off on a positive note but injury set us back then eventually you look up and see the season is out of reach once again so as a GM you have to sometimes make moves to improve your team even though it may appear that you are worse but it's all about the long term gratification and we refuse to be short sighted if it means mortgaging what we're establishing here just to become a treadmill team and we want to challenge for the Playoffs and CSL Title very soon but also want to fully develop who and what we have here as well so it can sometimes be uneventful from a fan perspective but they see we have legit talent here in Terrence Ross and Harrison Barnes who are now sitting to avoid injury as the season closes so we're giving fans a chance to get a look at some of the other guys like a Zach LaVine who deserved more playing time as well as others so we can start developing them before our season is over... We love where we are both fiscally and player-wise as a franchise so no, no regrets... Well of course if you have a chance to get an impact player I think any team who gets the #1 overall pick or even the 2nd pick would look to move it if the situation were right, even if you have a chance to draft a player who can become impactful you have to do your due diligence as you never know what another teams objective will be at any given time... There's only so far youth can get you so sometimes there's no need to draft yet another young guy to develop as our team is filled with young guys so sometimes you have to pass on the "younger" guy if that makes sense... Alright no problems guys, enjoyed the time.
