The Coaches for each squad was as follows:
Eastern All-Stars: Andrew (New York), mgtr81 (Milwaukee - Substitute for substitute rh0xxy)
Western All-Stars: bt (Sacramento)
- The pace was set to max and no player was set in the DC to have more than 28min.
- All other settings were up to the coaches to decide ahead of the game.
- The Brooklyn Nets represent the Eastern All Stars on the road and the host Portland Trail Blazers represents the Eastern All Stars.
RESULTS
The East was victorious last season in what was a bit of an ugly All-Star game. Fans were hoping for some more offense this year, and boy did they get it! Not only that, but we had a great back and forth competitive game showcasing some of the best talents in the CSL.
The Eastern Conference All-Stars must have remembered how good it felt to win last year because they came out scorching hot in the first quarter. Led by a balanced attack, the East saw themselves in a 35-22 lead after one.
The second quarter was much closer, with both teams trading baskets. At half-time, we saw the East up by a score of 67-55.
Knowing his team had to dig deep, Jarret Culver of the Western All-stars came out aggressive in the 3rd quarter trying to mount a comeback. While the West had their best quarter of the game, it still wasn't enough to erase the deficit. The bench really did get things moving, but would it be enough? In the end, the Eastern All-Stars snuck out the win by a score of 126-124.
Player of the game honors went to Michael Porter Jr of the Cleveland Cavaliers who scored 16 points and 7 rebounds. The East really used a balanced attack, so the POTY award probably could have gone to any of 5 or 6 different players.
Once again, congratulations to all the All Stars and especially the Eastern Conference All Stars for winning the game!
