Fernando is having a career year thus far averaging 24 ppg, 12 rpg, and 3 bpg on 56% true shooting percentage.
The Washington Wizards front office has always been known as a very active front office. The infamous Day 30 is quickly approaching for the CSL 2035 season, and multiple sources in the league have indicated that the Wizards front office will once again be making some big moves. This upcoming blockbuster will potentially set shockwaves around the league, and will be a very exciting deal to follow through this season.
According to one source, all star big man Bruno Fernando will likely be on the move along with CSL all time 3pt scorer in Malik Monk in a 3 way block buster trade that will shake up the Eastern Conference. Memphis Grizzlies legend Bruno Fernando was a huge off-season free agent signing by the Wizards front office from this past off-season. However there were rumblings that Fernando has not get along well with his young teammates, and is growing frustrated about the lack of ability of compete for a championship this season. Meanwhile Malik Monk has been with the Washington Wizards since last season, and he of course is also chasing for a CSL title before he hands off to the CSL Hall of Fame.
Sources believe the Wizards will accelerate their rebuild process into full gear after this trade. Incoming assets include a young big man that has the potential to become an all star, a large expiring contract, a rookie big man that has some unique inside traits, a cheap solid rotational combo guard along with a future first round pick, a future 2nd round pick, and a bunch of player instructions. Financially speaking the Wizards should once again have enough cap space to pursue a max offer free agent next off-season. With all of their 1st round draft picks in tow, the rebuild should really hit its gear after this blockbuster deal. From a value standpoint, the Wizards pretty much gained a bunch of assets for a free agent signing that costed them nothing, and they recouped some assets for an expiring contract in Malik Monk while also maintain the financial flexibility with the incoming large expiring contract.
The trade is expected to be posted this weekend. One thing for certain is that whoever is obtaining the services of Fernando will become an instant title contender. Meanwhile it will be interesting to see if the Wizards front office will make any follow up moves to gather more rebuilding assets.
