Weekly Spotlight: Hottest Team
Weekly Spotlight: Memphis Grizzlies
In lieu of the Weekly Snippets, Who's Hot, Who's not? which has been shelved for the meantime, is relatively just the same but will look more closely on the team who had the best week in the league and without futher adieu;
This week we will discuss the excellent performance of the Memphis Grizzlies, who had won 7 straight. In this 7-game winning streak they've been relentless and consistent. Here's what they have done:
vs @GSW, they led althroughout the game with Culver exploding for 40 points, while Fernando had a monster double double of 30-17 with 5 blocks
vs Utah, they controlled the game from the get go with little resistant from the visiting Jazz. Culver flirted with a triple double of 35-9-10 stat line.
vs Houston, they openned the game on a blistering way and never looked back. Culver once again spearheaded the onslaught with 32 points and 13 assists. Fernando was 2 blocks shy of a triple double.
vs Sacramento, the Kings had a good opening half, only to falter in the end. Fernando led the way with 31 points 14 boards and 6 blocks. Culver had his fair share of the spotlight with 24pts 6rebs and 11asts.
vs NO, the Pelicans gave them a run for their money in the 1st half, but a different Grizz team showed up in the 2nd half. The trio of Culver-Fernando-Wagner, all had double double, was too much for the visiting team to overcome.
vs Detroit, the Pistons gave them fits but it was still a win for the Grizz as Culver dropped 43pts and 9asts. Wagner had a monster double double of 25pts and 23boards.
vs Dallas, a preview of the Conference Finals. All starters from the Grizz contributed for the win to deny Zion's huge 58-pt outing. Culver and Wagner top scored for the host team but Fernando had a remarkable stat line of 16-13-6-7.
Here's for this week, hope to see you again next week. Cheers!

Re: Weekly Spotlight: Hottest Team
Yeah, we lead them by 4 going into the 4th quarter but we couldn't keep up down the stretch.
They're definitely going well.

Lol looks like Memphis is on a roll with the AI leading the charge like the Nets last season.

Re: Weekly Spotlight: Hottest Team
there is a part of me that believes the game likes autopiloting teams that don't make adjustments. maybe a "continuity" score that is a little too powerful. (I refuse to not tinker though lol)hardenwithnod wrote: ↑Tue Jun 18, 2024 12:10 pm Lol looks like Memphis is on a roll with the AI leading the charge like the Nets last season.

Re: Weekly Spotlight: Hottest Team
Yeah, that could be the case, also for some reason when a team goes autopilot their main players never get hurt either, so no tinkering needed, lmao.

There is one very knowledgeable GM in the league that told me after multiple years of testing he believes the same thing.KW wrote: ↑Tue Jun 18, 2024 2:39 pmthere is a part of me that believes the game likes autopiloting teams that don't make adjustments. maybe a "continuity" score that is a little too powerful.
