But what people seem to forget is that the teams that had cap room in 2010 did not have anything else on their roster as they got rid of every contract to clear space. How is that different from a team doing a sign and trade to theoretically clear the cap needed? The only major difference now is that here the cap is so much higher than it was allowing teams that have stars on rookie deals to be able to afford these max superstars.
And I disagree with Marcos on this, while I can see the argument for Durant to want that 5 year contract it makes 0 sense for lebron. Lebron, if he wants to maximize his earning potential, needs to sign a 1 or 2 year deal as there is no chance even at 32 or 33 that a contending team would not offer him a max contract. If he signs a 4 or 5 year deal now it would likely cost him 30-40 million dollars that he could have earned.

Maybe it's true for LeBron but you gotta question yourself if you're paying almost 35M to a 36 yo player who started to decline on 33/34.Jaboo wrote:But what people seem to forget is that the teams that had cap room in 2010 did not have anything else on their roster as they got rid of every contract to clear space. Cris paul is old and don't have a level for change lebron and durant. Love less. You and marcos edit minutes the players are better with apropiate minutes in a bench.Dennis wrote:And that's the point Daniel. They wouldn't have to pay "real value" and could trade "overvalue players". It's better than getting nothing in return. Btw, why is Paul overvalued? 99% stop, 4 TOFC, 0.78 PA/SF, 47%,1.8 to and 6.4 with only ~70 touches is very good. Just because he doesn't score a lot it doesn't mean he's bad.
Btw, all the FA decisions from th NBA discussed here are related to personal decisions by the players. Lebron wanted to play with his friend, Bosh joined them because the big three would be a crazy good team, LMA joined SA because of Pop etc. That's something not part of a simleague. In the end other teams should be happy if KD doesn't end up in Nola. Titles for the next ten years would be gone..
I see this when i could edit minutes.and all depend too with players that you can play. Rose paul love etc with 38 minutes and other players that protect for example avery bradley trevor dragic etc are medium or bad players. Lebron and durant always are good and if you use with perfect rotstion and role players are better.
You can see a example in randolph with 28 minutes and time in a bench, play decent without this is terrible.

Never never can change durant lebron or davis in two years for any players.
You can see boston and chicago minutes. All players play less than 30 or less.
No more randolhs. Love and paul with energies and no defensive players around are bad.
