Looks like Kaun turned out to be a nice depth pick up, too bad I haven't been able to get Huertas working as well...

You tried . It's the thought that matters 8-)

But you dont honestly think Anderson can't be a legit 2nd option type guy? The guy is making almost two threes a game and almost 12 points in only his 2nd year. That's 3rd starter numbers right there. And has potential to grow. All said and done I see a 18-6 guy with solid defense.

Air Giannis would average 40-10-10 on your team...

Didn't know 18-6 all said and done was "crazy", when he's doing 11.5- 4 right now.
But hey, you are entitled to your opinion. I smell a little jealously though. Westbrook and players and knows he can't win it all. Looks at my roster and wishes he had the youth and potential that the Thunder have. Makes sense now.

It is okay that you believe so. But Im not sure I do like your starting five much. Rozier is a better version of Reggie Jackson, Saunders a (way) worse version of Waiters, Vonleh is pretty much John Henson and Justin Anderson is JaKarr Sampson with a better shot/slithly better scoring. You dont have to believe me, but your team is really nothing I would love to manage. Super boring situation with no player on board I would love to see devlope. At you team's peak you should be a 44-38 like team. Just my opinion though, I love that most GMs dream big.

This is just dennis admitting that his draft classes were awful and that he was a bad rookie head. ;) i kid i kid, but he is basically saying his classes are bad. Calling the 2nd overall pick a #3 starter, and called the bust embiid a future superstar just shows how truly bad these classes were. Im glad marcos will right the ship.
FINALLY a logical HC Rule our work is done

I don't say the classes are bad, but outside of the top 3 of each class there are borderline allstars, no future HOFs. Like Anderson getting drafted #2 was shocking to me. DePaula is a superstar, Embiid too. Anderson is a third starter, easy as it is. Saunders and Vonleh are solid talent, but their class was created with the intention of a huge dropoff in talent after DePaula and Embiid as it was a two-superstars and bunch of starters draft. Like the class before was the opposite with Stauskas, Harris, Wiggins, Smart, Randle, Caboclo all having starpotential. Same goes for this years draft. This years draft was similiar to the Embiid one. Two stars in Payne and Stanley + some borderline stars in Layman, Rozier, Okafor, Turner. There aren't 10 superstars every year. I didnt say the classes have been bad, but OKC traded for the guys with limited potentials. Looking at the drafting position when trading is always a bad idea. RJ Hunter is better than Saunders, Delon Wright is better than Rozier, Terran Pettaway/Jordan Adams/RHJ are better than Justin Anderson, Christian Wood/Montrezl Harrel are better than Vonleh.. Just to name examples from one draftyear.

But Im guilty if it comes to hyping players. Vonleh, Anderson and Rozier are all players I hyped in articles. So yeah, thats on me.

Edit Says: BTW, Myles created Anderson and Vonleh :D

Looking at scouting, Embiid potential to be a superstar doesn't show for me. He is similar to Vonleh in terms of potential. That's why Vonleh was considered by some to be the best prospect that year leading to the draft.

And you are right with the 2nd bolded part. Those players might be better right now, but not In the future. That's why my guys are 21 or younger. I wouldn't call my guys having limited potentials either. Can you honestly say with a straight face Rozier has limited potential ? And same with Vonleh?
Most of my guys are 3 star prospects. Who knows what becomes of them in the future but that's the fun part of rebuilding. Instead of knowing each season your team won't win it all like Boston. We all know without injury Sac, Houston, Bulls, Pistons, or Pelicans are winning it this year.
Just like you told me on multiple occasions you were thinking if blowing your team up and now saying you wouldn't ever rebuild. Contradicting yourself now.
I don't take 2nd round exit advice seriously anyway. The gm's I actually take advice from are the ones that win it all. Hah

Edit: So you didn't create Vonleh, Anderson or Rozier(like you told me), yet you know how they will turn out...?

I added all rooks to the game until this offseason.. That's like creating them. However, no one knows how they will turn out, neither I or someone else can look into the future.
My opinion is based on the potentials I see. Not on how developed players already are, how much experience they have or whatever.

So Jace and Biz are your advisors?:)
Don't get me wrong, I don't want to be your advisor. Just my opinion about your players.:) like you may don't like my guys, I don't like yours at all.
That's it, not sure if my opinion is worth much or not.

Yeah. If I need advice I actually go to Marcus or Greenbear(don't know real name). They helped me a lot my first year. Not afraid to admit it.

Even though Marcus did try to low ball me on some offers, I'll let it go haha.

And I look at my team right now as a bunch of young talent. Based on potentials though, I rank them, Rozier, Vonleh, Anderson as tier 1. Saunders, Clarkson as tier 2, and Bembry, Zipser as tier 3. Valentine will be a great scorer so he's in the middle of tier 2 and 3.

Add a top 3 pick and hope I can nab a potential superstar to add to that and my team will be a powerhouse a few years down the line. Especially if my guys pan out. That's the fun part of rebuilding. Seeing your players grow.

Rozier was designed after Kemba, actually. And a lot of people hated Kemba 1.5 short seasons ago. We'll see.

Agree.
Let's give the player some time. With the right system, position and preferences you can fix most of the players.

Thanks for the update. Zhou Qi hasn't gotten nearly enough burn to even creep on to the bottom of this list but we were very aware we would be bringing him along slowly. The hope is he can take over Ian Mahinmi's starting position next season.

In my opinion, the best rookie of this class as of today is Sasha Kaun from the Sixers (10pts, 51%, 5rbd, 1.3blk in 21 minutes).
But SJJ will probably get the award because he average 15pts+ at a decent 44% and has plenty of potential.
Okafor is shooting 41% so he is out of the discussion for ROY

Shooting percentages hold little value in ROY voting. Never have, never will. They are rookies. Not everybody is LeBron James year 1.
