With the recent struggles, the Wizards find themselves 2 games back from the Chicago Bulls who have been lighting teams up. Although newly inducted GM NanashiWake has been quoted saying how the playoffs are his priority, there has been some inner-circle talks going on in Washington that the team has already began to focus on the off-season. Of course with CSL rules, teams are officially not allowed to mention potential off-season target, but we did catch up with Bradley Beal after their recent loss at home to the Detroit Pistons to discuss what changes he would like to see coming from a roster standpoint.
I mean...that's up to the men upstairs but I know for a fact...a fact that they gonna be focusing on adding someone that can score at will downlow. A guy we can throw the ball into and start running back on D because we know he good for the 2 points in the paint.
I have a couple people in mind I'd like to play with that me an John (Wall) gonna try hitting up this off-season. See if they share the same vision going forward for this team. You know it ain't all about adding the biggest star to your team. Guys like the Boston 3 Party or the Lakers squad with Kobe and Shaq. Those teams weren't so dominate just because they had star power. They had star power that meshed well. A bad fit for a team can quickly turn 2 or 3 stars into 2 or 3 decent players in a hurry.

Washington fans do believe though, that this team (now) can make some noise if they are able to squeak into the last position. John Wall has been playing out of his basketball-genius mind lately. Taking the team at times and throwing them onto his back as he carries them through countless 4th quarters. Even the aforementioned Bradley Beal has been playing under the radar lately, yet still contributing heavily to Washington's minimal success. If Washington were to get in, they'd be squaring off against the Detroit Pistons, which believe it or not, Washington has seemed confident pondering the idea of facing them. They feel that they have a plan set to deal with the versatility of the Pistons lineup. Coach George Karl said in the past that to "take down a team that can do everything, is to force them to focus on one thing".It's interesting and yet worrisome that the Washington staff may be focusing on the potential off-season with them still gunning for the playoffs. Does NanashiWake and staff have the determination to split their focus effectively on both goals or is Washington throwing in the towel too quickly mentally, for this season?
