Who Would You Rather Have?

Welcome to the first edition of the "Who Would You Rather Have?' series! This series will feature two players that are similar in profile/play style/age, and we will let you all decide who would you rather have for your franchise! Today we have Toronto's very own Kawh Leonard, and Sacramento's finest Otto Porter! Both of these guys are good defensive wings that can also hold their own on offense. Both players are fairly efficient on offense, and definitely has the versatility to play both wing spots. Both players are also very good at forcing turnovers!

Kawhi Leonard: 27 years old. 32.7 MPG, 19.5 PPG, 5.2 RPG, 1.6 SPG, while shooting 52% from the field. The Raptors are currently leading the Atlantic division.

Otto Porter:25 years old. 33.5 MPG, 16.1 PPG, 5.3 RPG, 2.3 SPG, 49% from the field, and 42% from the three point line. Sacramento is currently second place in a tough Pacific division.

Who would you pick to man the small forward position for your team? Both guys are young, and can play both ends of the court with the best of them. Let's hear it!

Otto. Younger w the 3pt shot. He would fit perfectly w Blake and Kyrie

I rate Kawhi as Chilli knows but we're obviously tied to Otto. Kawhi would be a great player to have also.

Otto Porter for me.

Kawhi is a bit more sound offensively, and Otto is a bit more polished defensively and impactful on that end of the court.

The true difference for me? Contract situation foremost, and potential secondly - Otto Porter has the chance to be increasingly more effective offensively.

Depends on the team needs. To me otto is a more supportive player. Will dominate defensively but cant really lead you offensively while kawhi is a borderline number 1 or elite #2 who is probably a little more versatile than otto but otto adds the 3 point shot and slightly better d. I do think the Kings would be better if they had kawhi as opposed to otto.

Yeah, as good as Otto is, he would be a great 3rd option really with everything else he provides. Kawhi a solid 2nd/great 3rd also as for mine, he needs a higher scoring rating to be anything else but the Raps are similar to us in that both score more than they should due to a lack of scorers or players with high scoring ratings.

I really love Kawhi but yes Porter is a better player.
I actually proposed a trade Kawhi-Otto couple of seasons ago which was declined by bt.

I agree with Brett that it's dependent upon team need. If I had a clear #1 scorer on my team already, Otto would be my pick. Otherwise, Kawhi would be my pick.

I agree with everyone's ideas above which for me means Kawhi is the player to have over Porter. That is especially true for my Nets who desperately need an alpha male to lead the way.

Personally I value three point shooting, so I will take Porter. But Kawhi would be an excellent number one option for us right now as well.

Pretty similar to everyone else here. Otto would be my pick, but he can't lead a team. Him and Okaro are pretty similar with Otto having more value due to his 3 point shooting on top of his stellar defense.

Kahwi can be a first option for a team and still provide top notch defense, but no 3 pointer puts him below Otto for me.
