Flip Saunders passes away at 60

It is with extreme sadness that the Minnesota Timberwolves today learned that Phil “Flip” Saunders, who served as the team’s President of Basketball Operations and Head Coach, in addition to being a minority owner of the team, passed away today at age 60.

I liked him a lot and was so happy of him and KG reunited in Minny. I hoped he would get well.

So sad. Doctor came out and said it was very treatable. Must have been a terrible turn for the worse this past week. Tragically taken too soon. Basketball family lost a great one. Rest in peace, Flip.

I actually have a 15 years old cousin battling against a Hodgkin lymphoma. Thank God he's been treated by the best cancer specialists in Brazil, and he's doing quite good. He's a very good kid and I have faith he'll be blessed with his fully recovery.
Sucks to see someone losing the battle when you are dealing with it in your family. RIP Flip Saunders, a good coach and great mentor.
